Where the numbers come from

We publish what is in the system — not the marketing price

Lesson prices: average of all active products

Car 45 min CHF 95 is averaged over 15 active products from different instructors; 60 min CHF 139 over 9, 75 min CHF 156 over 9, 90 min CHF 181 over 12. Read directly from wp_postmeta._price, as of May 2026.

VKU: currently active Amelia events

In wp_amelia_events two VKU offerings are currently approved: VKU English in Zurich at CHF 159 (own course, multiple dates) and Verkehrsschule Mittelland at CHF 190 (broker). The calculator default is CHF 190 as the most likely German-language option.

First-aid course: location-specific prices

At DriveLab specifically CHF 99 in Zug and CHF 120 in Zurich (English course CHF 99). The hint in the calculator names both separately — no average that papers over the city-by-city reality.

Admin fee: 5 of 14 instructors charge it

From _drivelab_admin_fee_enabled + _drivelab_admin_fee_amount: 5 instructors active, range CHF 60 - 130, average CHF 108. Disclosed openly in each instructor profile.

Cantonal costs listed separately

Learner permit, eye test, theory and practical exam plus the driving licence card are cantonal fees. We add zero markup on top of them.
