Lost your Swiss first aid certificate? How to request a replacement
We send the first aid certificate electronically. If you cannot find the file, first check your inbox and downloads. For a course attended through DriveLab or Dragon Drive, you can pay CHF 50 online here to request a replacement.
In short
Losing the certificate does not automatically mean taking the course again. If you cannot find the original, complete the replacement form and pay CHF 50 in the next step. The request goes to Dragon Drive only after payment is confirmed. A replacement does not extend its original validity.
1. Identify the course and issuing organisation
- 1 Find your confirmation Search your emails for “Nothelfer”, “Nothilfe”, “first aid” or the approximate course date. Also check downloads, photographs and spam.
- 2 Identify your booking For a DriveLab booking, check your customer account and confirmation. Note the venue, date, order number and named organiser. The seller and certificate issuer may be different organisations.
- 3 Contact the issuer If you have an old copy or photograph naming the issuer, start there. If you only have a payment receipt, first ask the booking organisation to identify the course you attended.
2. Request a replacement online for CHF 50
This form is for courses completed through DriveLab or Dragon Drive. If you attended with another provider, contact it first; its process and fees may differ.
Your replacement request
Dragon Drive uses your original course details to locate the certificate. Your date of birth helps distinguish people with the same name.

3. What happens after payment
Enter the details of your original course and pay CHF 50 through the existing DriveLab checkout. Once payment is confirmed, we send the replacement request and order reference to info@dragondrive.ch. Dragon Drive locates the original attendance record and handles the replacement.
Reissuing a certificate takes work even when the document is electronic: the original attendance record must be found and the certificate issued again. This is what the replacement fee covers. The form does not automatically generate a certificate or enrol you in another course.
We often receive these requests. Save your new file somewhere you can find it again and keep the email as well. When it arrives, check your name, course date and validity date.
4. Check the document you receive
An order confirmation records an order; a payment receipt records a payment. Neither alone establishes that you attended the whole course. Specifically request the certificate of attendance for your first aid course.
FEDRO directives require course providers to retain attendance and certificate records for six years. This helps locate the original. Our replacement service costs CHF 50; the original attendance still needs to be verifiable.
5. If the course was a long time ago or cannot be found
Check the validity date on any copy you have. A replacement does not extend the original validity. If the certificate has expired or cannot be recovered, check what your licence application requires and whether an exemption applies before paying for another course.
If you need a new course, compare course formats and current dates. Check the teaching language and every required session.
