Yes, that is often possible, but the approval comes from the road traffic office of your home canton. In Zurich, the Strassenverkehrsamt issues the out-of-canton approval and also recommends confirming the setup with the road traffic office in the exam canton. Send us your home canton and we will point you to the correct process.
The available exam language depends on the authority running the exam. Different regions allow different language setups. Send us your canton or city through the support form and we will clarify the available languages for your taxi exam right away.
That depends on your licence category and your current permit status. The path differs between A1, restricted A and A. Send us your category and bike details and we will tell you whether you need the 12-hour motorcycle basic course and which course fits your case.
If you already hold a category B licence, the relevant path for A1 up to 125 cc in Zurich is usually the 12-hour motorcycle basic course. In Zurich you normally do not need an additional practical exam for that. Ideally you bring your own motorcycle or scooter to the course, but many locations can also arrange a rental bike if you book it in advance.
You usually need the original learner permit, any existing driving licence, the vehicle registration document and a roadworthy test vehicle. The road traffic office checks the original documents right before the exam. If you send us the exam canton, we will confirm the exact list with you.
Not always. If you already hold a category B licence, Zurich allows you to obtain category A1 after the 12-hour motorcycle basic course without an additional practical exam.

The first aid certificate is generally valid for 6 years. If your certificate is older, you need a new recognised first aid course for the learner permit application.

Yes. For categories A1, A, B1 and B you must complete the 8-lesson VKU before registering for the practical exam. You also need a valid learner permit first.
In Zurich, you need to attend all 12 hours of the motorcycle basic course within the first 4 months and with the same learner permit. After that, the learner permit stays valid for one more year.
