What You’ll Learn

In two days you’ll master the essentials of emergency response. Topics include the role of a first responder & Swiss legal basics, primary assessment (ABC check), CPR (BLS) & AED, recovery position, bleeding & wound management, and accident‑scene safety. Hands‑on scenarios and step‑by‑step coaching by our medical instructors give you the confidence to act in real emergencies.

Where does the first aid course take place?

Courses are held at Lagerstrasse 2, 8004 Zurich (PH Zurich LAB building), a three‑minute walk from Zurich HB. Take the Europaallee exit, follow Lagerstrasse and look for the sign‑posted entrance. Public transport brings you right to the door; paid parking is available nearby (But I don’t think you have a license yet :).

Yes, for the First purchase the emergency helper course is usually required to obtain a driver’s license. You can then continue with theory and practice:

How long does the course last?

Legal 10 hoursmostly distributed over 2 evenings or a compact appointment (depending on planning).

How much does the course cost & how does the cashback work?

The course costs CHF 120.-. You will receive CHF 50 cashback, redeemable for Driving lessons or VKU Englishnot for VKU Zurich.

What language is the course in?

We offer the course on German and English to. The minimum language requirement is B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

How long is the emergency aid card valid for?

In practice up to 6 years recognized. Plan the rest of the process in good time:

Are there cancellation/rebooking rules?

Cancellation/postponement free of charge up to 4 days in advance. The fee will be forfeited in the event of last-minute cancellations; Cashback is not payable/erstattungsfähig.

What documents/materials do I need?

Official ID card, writing utensils, comfortable clothing (practical exercises), punctual attendance. You will receive everything else on site.

Is the course ASA-recognized?

Yes, our emergency aid course is officially recognized and is accepted for the driver’s license.
